In a recent press release, daughter Veronica Di Santo-Abramowicz – who has been working alongside her mother since she was a child – explained that some of today's elegant brides are in search of a more understated look than in the past.
Ines Di Santo's new collection, she says, is aimed at "frugal brides marrying during tough economic times."
Who is Ines Di Santo?
Bridalwear and eveningwear designer Ines Di Santo was born in Italy, and raised in Argentina. She trained in Europe and South America before eventually settling in Toronto, Canada, where she currently owns a couture atelier.
For ten years, Di Santo's label has been available in the United States. Her evening dresses and wedding gown designs have met critical acclaim, and have been featured in reputable wedding style publications such as Cosmopolitan Bride, Elegant Bride, Wedding Bells, and The Knot Gown Guide.
Her stunning gowns often appear in the Wedding Dress Gallery on Brides.com, as well as on In Style Weddings' Runway Report.
What is the Luxe Bridalwear Collection?
Luxe is described by the designer as different from the original luxury collections in that these dresses are more streamlined, with less beadwork and detailing than in the past.
Nonetheless, the new gowns feature pure lines and luxurious fabrics, resulting in designs that project the image of elegance and good breeding for which Ines Di Santo has become known.
The Luxe Collection has received rave reviews since April 2009, when it was first presented during the New York City Bridal Market – an industry event covering new trends in bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses, headpieces, wedding shoes, and other accessories.
The sumptuous Luxe Collection includes the following styles – and more:
- Adele: a draped, strapless Peau de Soie gown featuring a mermaid silhouette and a crystal brooch at the bodice.
- Mia: a Silk Shantung, strapless ball gown with a ruched bodice, dropped waist, and pick up train.
- Jordin: a strapless gown with a mermaid silhouette and a gathered bodice with bow trim, also in Silk Shantung.
- Reese: a strapless fit-to-flare gown with pleated trim, in Silk Mikado.
All are available in white and off-white.
