Book Review: Honey B's Married on Mondays

Mary B. Morrison's steamy African-American fiction aims to liberate, educate and titillate readers.

Honey B’s latest adult novel, Married on Mondays, is larger than life in every possible aspect. Synopsis:

Foxy, Déjà and Victoria are sisters by different mothers. For an hour each night, Foxy, Déjà and Victoria run a very lucrative sideline as high-end escorts, providing daily specials to a discerning clientele. For astronomical prices, the seductive women perform sexual favours and services they are reluctant to offer their own libidinous husbands. The problem here is not that these gloriously gorgeous men and women suffer from a low libido or sexual dysfunction… Their problem is the age-old woe of couples everywhere: miscommunication. Honey B’s protagonists spend a fair amount of time thinking about their spouses, desiring their spouses, fantasising about their spouses, and sleeping with other people, in vivid x-rated details.

What this novel lacks in literary merit, it gains in pure oomph: this book is hot! Those who like their Harlequin romances with extra spice will be delighted by Honey B’s descriptions of the male and female anatomy in action, and will find that Married on Mondays makes for excellent bedside reading.

About the Author:

Honey B – Mary B. Morrison by birth – graduated from McDonough 35 Senior High in New Orleans and received an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts from what is now known as Berkeley Community College. For many years, she worked for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, before dedicating her life to writing and sexual empowerment. She now lives in Oakland, where she hosts Pajama Jams and Tell it All Parties meant to educated African-Americans and liberate them from sexual oppression.
